We’ve had a long-standing relationship with farmers in Bihar, the heart of makhana cultivation, and we believe in supporting them as they support us.
Why It Matters
Growing and harvesting makhana is no easy task. It is intense as it requires manual labor along with strength, patience, and determination.. The crop only grows once a year, and farmers have to dive into ponds, handpicking each piece. It’s a tough job, and we know these farmers deserve more recognition and better resources to support their families year-round.
Making a Difference
We’re on a mission to change that. We’ve already invested in new technology to make the harvesting process easier for the farmers. But we’re not stopping there. We’re committed to improving their working conditions and livelihoods, ensuring they can thrive and continue cultivating the makhana crop that brings us all joy.
